Thankfulness

Thank you Lord for your mercy, for your kindness, for your unending grace
Thank you that when I am weak, you are made strong
Thank you for your inability to be confused by my actions, my thoughts, my motives, or my speech
Thank you for being sovereign, for knowing everything, and not letting me know everything
Thank you for the trials you give me, so that I may draw closer to you through them
Thank you for loving me even when my attention is drawn to worthless things
Thank you that through the physical illnesses, the pain, and the suffering I may go through, that you are there for me, holding me, comforting me, bestowing grace on me
Thank you for the people you place around me, for the way you use them in my life daily
Thank you for the joyous moments you place into my life, the wonderful blessings that make my heart soar
Thank you for my imperfections; so that I may not look to myself or others for perfection, but only you
Thank you that when I'm confused, that when my heart is feeling knotted, you are sovereign over my future
Thank you for conviction, so I may grow in you
Thank you that you even speak to me at all, the undeserving wretch that I am
Thank you for the ultimate sacrifice; something so unfathomable to our finite minds
Thank you for the gifts you've given me, and for allowing me to realize how undeserving I truly am of them
Thank you for your love, that it is always enough, always perfect, always true; that it will never falter, never fail because of anything we say or do
